Maybe it was my classes and reading the newspaper, but I felt it so strongly. I couldn't help but cry on Sunday when reading about Flight 93 in the newspaper. Former President Bush said it was one of the bravest acts of American history. The passengers that used American democracy to vote and decided to storm the cockpit. I can't even imagine the courage it would take. It's hard to give condolences to every person who was effected by these terrorism acts, but I want to everyone to know how deeply sorry I am.
America is a great country. I know we're in the pits right now, but I still am in love with this place. September Eleventh was a huge thing. Over 3,000 lives lost, over 3,000 children left with only one parent. The numbers are hard to imagine. The FDNY and NYPD were so brave. The pictures of firemen running up the stairwells while everyone else ran down..... that says a lot. Such a hard thing to write about.
I just pray for all those who have been victims of 9/11. So many brave and honorable Americans were innocently killed, and I pray for their families.
We'll never forget.
