I think this 3rd grader deserves his own post. I have known Arthur Timothy Read since I was in training pants. I watched his show everyday and got up early enough so that I would have enough time to get ready and watch Arthur. Then right after school, I would make it home just in time to turn the television on.... right to Arthur. His shows are still my favorite shows, and I can't give them enough praise.
Even now, I am like 6 years older than the age they aim this show for, and all the jokes still strike me as hilarious... and I get more of them now. Arthur is the perfect friend. And he has some pretty awesome friends. I always wished that I could live in the Elwood City. I wish I could go to the Sugar Bowl everyday after school with all my friends. I wish I could watch Bionic Bunny with Arthur at night. I wish I could make plans in Arthur's treehouse. I wish I could eat Arthur's dad's crazy creations. I wish I could have fun with a library card.
I wish I lived in Arthur's world.
But I like mine, too. And so that is what today is. Today is a tribute to Arthur.
What a good kid.
aaahh. the joys of Arthur. what a great kid. I'm going to marry him:) and you can come to my wedding and tell him how amazing he is. it will be fun.
ReplyDeletei would be SO jealous at your wedding. But you are not supposed to covet your neighbor, so I would eventually get over it :) Hope you two are very happy together.
