Having fun isn't hard... when you've got a library card!

It's true.
Lexie and I went to the Library yesterday and it was the best. We rode our bikes (mine being a mountain bike hand-me-down, Lexie's being a gorgeous yellow beach bike) and it was kind of hot. It was honestly a little sad that I was so unfamiliar with the set up there. Good thing Lexie knew what she was doing. I checked out ONE book that is continuing in the series I am reading, and Lexie checked out what... FIVE books? She is awesome.

So about this book I got. Recommended by my sewing teacher, I went and bought it the same day. It is called The Sound Of Rain by Anita Stansfield. She is a LDS author who wrote this five-part series. I started the book Sunday afternoon and finished it on Monday. That included staying up til 4 a.m. also :) I couldn't put it down. I can't even say how much I have missed reading. It was a lot about music and love. It made me realize I could not live without my piano and my guitar. I feel like reading makes me a deeper, more capable to feel, human being. The second half of this book is the most emotional thing I have read. I won't give anything away, but it was hard to imagine and get through. I felt a lot of sympathy, love, complete anger, unbelief..... the list goes on. Literature sure knows how to make you feel.

I finished!

I finished reading STAR TREK The Final Nexus today! Oh man, what a great ending! I got this book at the DI for 50 cents. Greatest 50 cents ever spent. It actually helped me understand the show a lot better too. My favorite part of this book is Spock. He is AMAZING! Being the only Vulcan on the bridge, he has mind capabilities that the humans don't have. He, along with Commander Ansfield, save the Earth AND the whole Federation from going into a limbo on nothingness. I didn't really like Ansfield in the beginning, cause she doubted everything Spock said, but in the end they joined forces and she played a major role in figuring the situation out. Figuring out the Nexus System. Wow, I could talk about this book forever, but just a brief praise is all that should happen. If you ever need a good read, go to DI. There is so much in store for everyone there. But now I am on to Portuguese Irregular Verbs.

Squib.

I have fallen back into the Harry Potter phase. This happens more often than not, and it is a disease. Not a bad disease, but still a disease.
Have you caught it?
I can not ever put the books the down. I read them all day, everyday. I think about the books. I get mad at people in the books. I cry. I laugh out loud. Whenever I finish reading and must go do something else, I always feel great. It is like my remedy for stress or moodiness. The movies, too. Do they give you chills?

I just had to write about this. It is on my mind constantly, and I just wanted to praise it's greatness. Thanks for listening.
Love and Rockets,
Maddie
