Swens Moment, Space Camp

If any of you have had Swenson, this is one of his "Longboarding Moments."
I really wanted to find a good Chris Sharma (one of the greatest rock climbers ev) video to show you, but due to me not finding one yet, here is this. I kinda love it. I love this song, it is called Slow Motion.
Also, I really wish I was a mountain biker.

OH MY GOSH. I almost forgot to tell you.
I went to Space Camp! For a friend's birthday party, we got to drive an hour and reenact Star Trek. If you know Star Trek, you know what was there. We were on the Odyssey. It was complete with a voice activated Computer, phasers, Klingons, and a mission to complete! I WAS CAPTAIN! You have no idea, my eyes actually started tearing up at one point. It was amazing. I acted just like Piccard. Or Kirk. Take your pick.

Also, I love Wyatt. He was the guy who worked there (I am going to work there when I'm older) and was with us the whole time. To sum up his coolness: he goes to conventions all the time, is going to actually play the part of Chekov in a remake of the Original Series, which will play online, and is using the ORIGINAL uniforms. Oh my gosh. I got an autograph and took a legit picture with him. We posed as engineers. Anyways, my husband better be just like him. I don't know if I can handle being with someone who is not a complete nerd.

color my life with the chaos of trouble.

What a crazy week. Erin actually left for college. I miss her a ton! Life is actually happening.
We are moving on and doing bigger things... Erin, more so.
Its such a great time of life.

If you didn't already know, I have A HUGE OBSESSION WITH STAR TREK. Its like falling in love with a boy. I get excited when I just think about Star Trek. And my freaking awesome high school's theme is Live Long and Conquer! We had an assembly today that was Star Trek themed. I can't even begin to say how super it is. Spock was funny.

Wore a slouch hat for the first time in my life today. Ginger said she liked it.

I'm actually making good friends at schooooool. Which is awesome.

We play the Darts tonight. Its a black out. I can't wait. School spirit is contagious.

[i can see a lot of life in you]

Oh, those were some of the photo shoot pictures. Just a nice taste.
I can't believe March is about over.
But that means APRIL is here, and that means General Conference! I love it. A weekend that we can listen to our living prophet and his apostles. It is like a time for renewal for me. They always say something that I want to work on, something that inspires me to be better. I can' wait.

In Seminary today, we had Conference in General. It was the most spiritual meeting we have had all year. I mean, so much that my heart was spilling out of my eyes. I got the play the closing number, an arrangement of If You Could Hie To Kolob. It brought the Spirit in so much stronger. For me, at least. Learning and practicing that song has really been a blessing to me. I love my seminary class.

Andrew gave me all the Star Trek comics on DVD, the Star Trek collectible glasses, and a plush Spock and Kirk! My. It was too much. But I completely love it. Genius.

I love life. I really do. I have the most amazing family. Amazing friends. Education. Dance. Tanning lotion. Music. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Home.

I finished!

I finished reading STAR TREK The Final Nexus today! Oh man, what a great ending! I got this book at the DI for 50 cents. Greatest 50 cents ever spent. It actually helped me understand the show a lot better too. My favorite part of this book is Spock. He is AMAZING! Being the only Vulcan on the bridge, he has mind capabilities that the humans don't have. He, along with Commander Ansfield, save the Earth AND the whole Federation from going into a limbo on nothingness. I didn't really like Ansfield in the beginning, cause she doubted everything Spock said, but in the end they joined forces and she played a major role in figuring the situation out. Figuring out the Nexus System. Wow, I could talk about this book forever, but just a brief praise is all that should happen. If you ever need a good read, go to DI. There is so much in store for everyone there. But now I am on to Portuguese Irregular Verbs.

Make it so.

Quite a lovely weekend, it has been!
We had a college-dorm party for Erin's birthday today, because she turns 18 on Monday.
The meal was complete with macaroni and cheese, chicken nuggets, plastic cups and forks, and even mismatching plates. We all gave Erin advice on college.
Everyone was pulling their advice from their experiences.... but the only experience I had resulted in this advice:

Don't go to kissing parties.

I must say, Teresa, Lexi, Ellen, and Beck-kid are the coolest peeps! Oh man, Lexi is the greatest artist I have ever seen! She will marry Connor, I promise. Watching the Baby Monkey video, I could have done something in my pants, it was so funny! Plus that Eskimo kiss, which I give kudos to Andrew for that. This is all m
aking me very excited for high school.

I got a letter in the mail today! From my pen-pal! She lives in Missouri, is 18, and is my best friend. I can't wait to write back. I am very big on writing letters lately. I miss (desperately) my ipod. I wish I had $1,000 to buy a nice camera that could focus. Photoshop doesn't do much without a crap-cam :) My favorite baby names are currently Jane and Patrick. I am the biggest dork, I keep a homestar runner figure in my pocket every day, for good luck! Plus I am the biggest trekkie, this is on my birthday list:

Also on that list is the $3 Star Trek pin! I seriously use my Christmas and Birthday presents to expand my nerdy paraphernalia. Today I am listening to The Sound of Silence, but Simon & Garfunkel. I miss those men.

What's up, Spock?
