Loving the rain this week.

10 January 2012

Thank you for finally coming! Waking up to a good 6 inches of white fluff and when I literally can't find anything to eat for breakfast....I break out the hot cocoa. It's the only way to go. Speaking of going that is what I should do. I got on here to research the Renaissance and type a huge argument. Time well spent.

You know how I want to be a landscape architect? I have a hard time remembering plant names, and I am always asking for their names over and over. So I decided I am going to make a photolog/scrapbook/identification book of my favorite plants and.... my other favorite plants. I started taking pictures of a few plants and flowers in our yard yesterday, so here are a few.

Lamb's Ear
Fern (i don't know how specific that is....=])
Lilly of the Valley
Again, Lilly of the Valley. This is my favorite plant in the whole world. I love it.

I am too young for this.

So I was looking at this blog, and saw this wedding dress that I think is so adorable. On the close up, isn't the skirt way pretty? I know its tradition to have a long train and veil and being border line snow monster, but I gotta say I love this.

This is my latest creation.

They are pretty easy to make, and it only takes a few hours!

I love this sunhat. When it was finished, I wore it until I was forced to take it off.

I love being able to make stuff for myself.

And if anyone wants one, just let me know! (maybe at a $6.50 price?)

haha. just paulin.

Anyways, I can't wait for summer so I can wear this all the time.

[i can see a lot of life in you]

Oh, those were some of the photo shoot pictures. Just a nice taste.
I can't believe March is about over.
But that means APRIL is here, and that means General Conference! I love it. A weekend that we can listen to our living prophet and his apostles. It is like a time for renewal for me. They always say something that I want to work on, something that inspires me to be better. I can' wait.

In Seminary today, we had Conference in General. It was the most spiritual meeting we have had all year. I mean, so much that my heart was spilling out of my eyes. I got the play the closing number, an arrangement of If You Could Hie To Kolob. It brought the Spirit in so much stronger. For me, at least. Learning and practicing that song has really been a blessing to me. I love my seminary class.

Andrew gave me all the Star Trek comics on DVD, the Star Trek collectible glasses, and a plush Spock and Kirk! My. It was too much. But I completely love it. Genius.

I love life. I really do. I have the most amazing family. Amazing friends. Education. Dance. Tanning lotion. Music. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Home.

finally... the sun.

Trogdor! Guitar! Pencils!

pardon the blurriness: I just wanted to show my awesome Trogdor shirt that I got for Christmas! I also got a Teen Girl Squad shirt, action figures (thanks Shayla), a Strong Bad tattoo, and Homestarrunner DVD Volume 1! (Thanks Cam and Kirst). So this Christmas was very much so a Homestarrunner Christmas. I think my birthday is gonna be Star Trek themed.

I am learning to play guitar! I Have this awesome friend, Andrew, who is teaching me. My fingers are still red, but I keep the guitar in my room and just play it all the time! It is so much fun. I love learning to play music.

I love sharpened colored pencils. So I took some pictures of them. Then I used my super cool PHOTOSHOP on them!
I enjoy it a lot. All thanks to Santa Claus.

Erin: I miss you. Come back.

Love.

Is this not the sweetest picture ever? Kristin, I am in love with this! It might need some prints. I love her smile. She is the greatest niece :) She is so happy, and mischevious sometimes, but I love her. She is a joy.

green thumb. want one.

I want a garden someday.

Peppers. Not my favorite, but I do appreciate them. Too bad it is now freezing at nights.
Ava showing me all the good stuff.

As of right now, I really want to be a landscape architect when I am older. During dinnger, we were talking about the things we notice. I said I always notice lawns and think how hard they would be to mow. I always notice the curving lines and focuses of yards. Everytime I am at the Stites' house, I pull out their landscape and yard books. They are so fun! I am amazed at our yard, too. My Dad designed it so beautifully. I am excited to have a house so I can make it more than a house sitting on a plot of grass. I love the home feel of a yard. Yup, landscape architect.

Happy Miscellaneous

Just so that I end off this week on a happy note, I am posting some pictures that never fail to make me happy:

Aspen and Ava. July 4th. Isn't it so cute how she has her arm around her?
I love this girl. So many memories are wrapped up in this picture. We have laughed so much at so many things. I missed you last night.

On top of Ensign Peak. I love the view. I love how white our shirts look. That day was so fun, and I love doing stuff with my family.

Hiking! I love this picture. Ava is my best friend!

And this picture.... haha.
Hope you are having a great weekend.

just the way you are...

Since the ThirtyDays are over, I am back to my original purpose of the blorg. Photography.

There are a lot of pictures I have taken in the past few years that will be taking an appearance. To start it off, here is Lexi! I think this was the beginning of 8th grade? Maybe? Do you remember?

Anyways. This is one of the only successful Multiple Exposure pictures I have had. So it is special :)
